My 335i is in the shop replacing bad injectors, coils, and points, so Autohaus BMW in Maplewood, MO gave me this sweet whip for a loaner (love being in the CPO warranty). They let me loan a 2016 435ix with the M-Sport performance package in lovely Estoril blue.
I’ll be sure to review it once I’ve had a chance to enjoy it. So far, I love it.
BMW trivia—which car was the first to wear Estoril blue? No cheating; leave your answer in the comments.

It’s a letter—but not the Z.

M3 E36?

Mid 1990s... M5? Not sure what the chassis designation is, it’s a bit blurry for BMWs other than M3s.

Damn I am jealous. I haven’t seen the coupe in that color yet.

That’s the winner! I’m going out on a limb & saying an Estoril Blue M3 E36 ultra light is the best E36

Ha, good catch.

BMW trivia—which car was the first to wear Estoril blue?
E36 M3 wore the original Estoril Blue. But your loaner car is Estoril Blue II. I’m the grammar police of BMWs.

That’s awesome. I bow to your Bavarian knowledge.

They didn’t say anything about the condenser.

I was being facetious. On very old cars, and many small gas engines today, like lawnmowers, ignition systems had “points and condensers” that were generally serviced together. Not sure what you mean by points in this instance though. I’m not aware of any modern car parts that are refereed to as points.

Ah, got it. I guess I call spark plugs “points”.
Am I a bad guy?

Ahh. That makes more sense. And yes, terrible!
